Being Blonde

I was born with almost jet black hair which my mother tells me gradually washed lighter and lighter until I was very blonde, I always wore my hair long but little did I know at that stage in my life just how much being blonde would affect me.
As I got older I soon started to get all the Blonde jokes, but I also found that being blonde would work to my advantage too, I would always get served by male bartenders quicker than my not so blonde friends and it worked a treat when something at work went wrong and I would use the phrase " What can I say ... I'm Blonde "
However as I started to get older my hair started to get darker and I became my worst nightmare.... Mousy!!!! So I decided to lighten my hair and have done ever since, although for a period of about two weeks a few years ago I decided to go RED, the worst decision I could have ever made, not only did I hate the colour but it actually changed my whole personality. No longer was I giggly, girly and dizzy enjoying life to the full, I became dull and uninteresting and very very depressed, a few hair dyes later and a few handful of hair falling out I was back to being blonde. I would never have believed how a hair colour could change someone so dramatically but it did.
I am currently in the process of growing out all the bleached blonde in my hair, I decided it was about time I gave my poor hair follicles a rest and between you and me I also wanted to see just how many natural highlights I have now (ie:grey) I'm sure though it wont be long before I have reached again into the depths of the chemist shop and bought that special little magical box that can transform a person into a Blonde!
