Online Love

What's the difference between eyes meeting across a busy pub and a private chat with someone from a chatroom? a lot? some? nothing? my personal opinion is not a lot, the bottom line being you can be as wrong or as right about someone that you meet in a pub as someone you meet online. Your personal instinct will be the guiding force as to how you wheedle out the lovers from the losers.
In some ways meeting someone online when thought out properly can be a much safer way for both women and men then actively going out alone seeking companionship, you can log on any time of the day or night and find hundreds if not thousands of people you can talk to, and while you could never meet them all you can easily find 30 men or women you could talk to in one night. Dating online can work two ways, you have the sense of safety in the fact you can be as honest as you like knowing that at the flick of a switch you can just stop talking to that person in an instant, or you can be as dishonest as you like and become someone you have always wanted to be, concealing your worst side and elaborating your more positive side.
Online relationships are fast, where as in a real-time hour face to face with someone you may have one drink, an hour online with someone and you can be swapping stories about your sexlife.
However like any forms of dating online dating can have bad sides to, you can find yourself falling hopelessly in love with someone only to find he/she doesn't feel the same and as said above with a flick of a switch your out of their lives, you can find out that your online Adonis is actually a rather chubby coach potato, that he/she loves you but then you find out their married, or you back of because your married and he/she starts harassing you, remembering that sometimes cyber Romeos can be dangerous.
I suppose with any form of dating what I am really trying to say is that as long as you are as prepared for the bad as well as the good then online relationships can be as good if not better that meeting someone for the first time in a pub or club, as to whether online relationships can stand the test of time, whether they can turn into real life relationships then my answer to that would have to be yes as I am living proof, just remember you sometimes have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince/princess.
